# The market for tokenized stocks grew by 2900% in a year and surpassed $1 billion

The volume of tokenized stocks on the blockchain exceeded $1 billion. The RWA sector is rapidly expanding due to liquidity inflows.

Investment partner Foresight Ventures’ Alice Li explained the success of the leaders as a result of well-structured architecture. These platforms initially focused on compliance with legal regulations across different jurisdictions, stable liquidity, and seamless integration with DeFi protocols.

RWA.io co-founder Marco Vidhrih noted the rapid growth of the niche: within a year, the capitalization of tokenized stocks skyrocketed by 2900%. The main drivers of growth were the launch of major platforms, clear regulation, and product accessibility for retail investors.

Capital concentration is typical for the industry: according to DeFiLlama founder 0xngmi, in the niches of stablecoins, derivatives, and decentralized exchanges, most revenue also comes from two leading protocols.

Along with stocks, the entire RWA sector is growing. The total value of tokenized assets, excluding stablecoins, reached $26 billion. Of this, $11.13 billion are U.S. Treasury bonds.

Trader activity is also increasing. Since the partnership between 1inch and Ondo began, the trading volume of tokenized stocks and ETFs through their joint integration has exceeded $2.5 billion.

Recall that in February, trading volume of xStocks tokenized stocks reached $25 billion.
