U.S. military warns Iranian civilians to stay away from port facilities in the Strait of Hormuz

On March 11th, local time, the U.S. Central Command issued a statement warning civilians in Iran to stay away from port facilities along the Strait of Hormuz used by the Iranian Navy. The U.S. military urged Iranian port workers, administrative personnel, and crew members of commercial ships to stay clear of Iranian naval vessels and military equipment, and to avoid entering related port facilities. The statement also said that the U.S. military will take measures to minimize harm to civilians during military operations but cannot guarantee the safety of personnel near facilities used for military purposes.
