Midnight Gold Outlook: Bulls and Bears Enter a Critical Stage, Market Direction to Be Decided in the Late Night
True trading is about maintaining rhythm amid volatility and finding certainty in uncertainty.
Reflecting on the evening strategy, I clearly advised everyone to short within the 5198-5205 range. The market surged as expected in the evening, reaching a high near 5196 before pulling back under pressure. The overall trend perfectly aligned with the forecast. Price declined from high levels, dropping to a low of 5148, not only successfully reaching our target of 5170 but also exceeding expectations for downside potential. Subsequently, we relied on key support levels to bottom fish at low points, with long positions rebounding to around 5180 and taking profits smoothly. Throughout the day, both bulls and bears fought fiercely, with precise rhythm control.
From the current market situation, after a rapid decline, the bearish momentum has been fully released. The short-term downside space is limited. Our subjective outlook is clear: after midnight, focus on low buy-ins, with the market likely entering a phase of oscillation and recovery, mainly moving sideways and upward, with a key focus on rebounds back toward 5200.
Next, the core trading strategy is clear and ready for direct execution:
Main long entry zone: 5150—5155, enter long; if retested near 5145, add to long positions.
Set stop-loss below 5140, with targets above 5190—5200.
This setup offers close entry points and high tolerance for errors, suitable for the late-night oscillation and recovery phase.
Short-selling approach: Short only on rebounds near 5195—5200 under resistance.
Stop-loss above 5208, target 5170—5160, not the main direction for midnight.
Breakout response: If 5140 is effectively broken downward, exit longs and stay on the sidelines.
Operate strictly within the above ranges, with a firm bias toward low longs and light short positions as a secondary strategy. Properly set stop-loss and take-profit levels, control position sizes, and steadily navigate the late-night recovery market.
