Mars Finance News, March 15 — Ethereum treasury company BitMine announced, “We are pleased to have acquired ETH held by the Ethereum Foundation at a mutually agreed price to support its related work. We will continue to increase our ETH holdings.” Previously, the Ethereum Foundation officially stated that today they finalized an over-the-counter (OTC) transaction of 5,000 ETH, with an average price of $2,042.96 per ETH, totaling approximately $10.22 million. The OTC counterparty is Ethereum’s largest treasury company, BitMine. The proceeds from this sale will fund the foundation’s core operations and activities, including protocol development, ecosystem growth, and community funding.
