Qatar Prime Minister: Will Fully Resume Energy Supply After Situation Stabilizes
On March 9th, local time, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed stated that Qatar is committed to maintaining stability in the global energy market. Once regional stability is restored, Qatar will fully resume energy supplies. Mohammed said that current regional conflicts not only threaten regional security but also pose serious risks to the global energy market and supply chains. He pointed out that Qatar’s suspension of liquefied natural gas production is a temporary preventive measure under the current circumstances. QatarEnergy announced on March 2nd that, due to drone attacks on two of its energy facilities, the company has decided to suspend production of liquefied natural gas and related products. Qatar has the third-largest natural gas reserves in the world and is one of the most important natural gas producers globally. (CCTV News)
