Expert Warning: Gulf States' Interceptor Missiles May Struggle to Sustain for a Week

The countries in the Persian Gulf that have become targets of Iran’s strikes have so far successfully limited their losses by deploying advanced U.S.-made air defense systems. These systems are used to intercept hundreds of drones and missiles pouring into their cities. A key variable in this conflict is whether these monarchies will exhaust their interceptors before Iran runs out of missiles and drones. At the current rate of consumption, this situation could happen very soon. Fabian Hoffmann, missile expert at the University of Oslo and doctoral researcher at the Oslo Nuclear Project, said, “The intensity of interceptor missile usage we’ve seen in the past few days cannot be sustained for more than a week—most likely only a few more days, after which they will feel the pain of interceptor shortages.” (Sina Finance)
