People’s Financial News, March 15 — On March 15, Li Auto’s product line manager, Tang Jing, announced the latest progress on the MEGA battery recall. So far, the recall completion rate has exceeded 97.5% (total of 11,411 units, with 11,128 units replaced), and 283 vehicle owners have not yet completed the replacement. “Although there was an early cloud-based safety warning, there are still potential safety risks, so we recommend replacing as soon as possible,” said Tang Jing. On October 31, 2025, Li Auto announced a voluntary recall of some 2024 model Li ONE electric vehicles, totaling 11,411 units. The vehicles within this recall scope have insufficient anti-corrosion performance of the cooling liquid in this batch, which under certain conditions can cause corrosion and leakage of the cooling aluminum plates in the cooling circuit for the power battery and front motor controller, leading to warning lights, limited power, and inability to power on. In extreme cases, this may cause thermal runaway of the power battery, posing safety hazards. The company will provide free replacement of cooling liquid, power batteries, and front motor controllers for vehicles within the recall scope. (Jiemian News)
