Longmen relies on employment service stations to connect the "last mile" in serving the community.

Employment is the most important people’s livelihood, and “employment services at your doorstep” are also an important measure to connect the “last mile” of social security. Since the beginning of this year, Longmen has collected and released 539 job postings through three employment stations within the county; staff have conducted 75 outreach visits, providing job recommendations for 340 people, with a total of 1,222 employment service interactions. They also held six career guidance activities and six policy publicity events to deliver employment opportunities to the community through regular and precise services.

Walking into Yonghan Town Employment Station, the electronic screen scrolls with the latest recruitment information. Job seekers sit at the service desk filling out forms, while staff patiently and carefully explain the job requirements. Previously, citizen Mr. Zhao had been unable to find suitable work due to family responsibilities. Through a friend’s introduction, he came to Yonghan Town Employment Station for help. The station staff provided detailed career guidance and policy publicity, patiently understanding his specific situation and job needs, then recommended suitable positions, actively connected with companies, followed up on interview processes, and offered attentive service throughout. In the end, Mr. Zhao successfully joined the catering industry, fulfilling his wish to work nearby.

“Employment stations are public welfare employment platforms at the community’s doorstep, mainly providing free job recommendations, policy publicity, career guidance, and other one-stop services. They also serve as a bridge for enterprises to connect with workers, providing employment matching, information release, and talent screening,” said Tang Weilin, director of Yonghan Town Employment Station. From individual job dreams to overall service improvement, the station, with its pragmatic, precise, and warm-hearted services, has become a solid bridge connecting job seekers and employers, contributing grassroots strength to stabilize employment, safeguard livelihoods, and promote revitalization.

Next, the station will further expand recruitment channels, adopt an integrated online and offline approach, regularly organize recruitment activities, and actively cooperate with human resources and social security departments to carry out related recruitment work. Meanwhile, they will continue to optimize service processes, focus on improving the accuracy of employment services and community satisfaction, truly bridging the “last mile” of employment services.
