13 Newly Appointed Bureau-Level Leaders Receive Customized Integrity Reminders
Hello, Shipo! As you are promoted to a higher position, you will take on more important responsibilities. Wherever you are, always uphold integrity and kindness…
Having worked in the audit system for over 20 years and gaining experience in various roles, recently, Zhang Shipeng was promoted to Deputy Director of the Enterprise Department VIII at the Audit Office. During an on-site integrity reminder session, heartfelt advice from his family made him feel warm and empowered.
Looking back on his journey, Zhang Shipeng said he will continue to walk the right path. He will remember the organization and family’s trust, frequently remind himself, and restart with a “zero” mindset.
According to the China Discipline Inspection and Supervision Daily on March 15, recently, in a conference room at the Audit Office, 13 newly appointed bureau-level leaders received an “unusual” integrity reminder.
Among these 13 leaders, some serve in the agency’s bureaus, some are newly assigned to local offices, and others hold important positions in dispatched agencies. Their roles and experiences vary.
To better embed integrity education into their minds and hearts, the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team at the Audit Office conducted personalized, tailored integrity reminders. They collaborated with the Human Resources and Education Department to produce “growth videos” for each officer, depicting key life milestones such as entering school, joining the Party, and starting their careers. Family members were invited to record “family messages,” reminding them to remember their roots, cherish organizational trust, and keep integrity and self-discipline engraved in their hearts.
“Starting a new position is like standing at a new starting point in life. Just as parents give heartfelt advice when their children are about to go far, this integrity reminder aims to ensure that at these important life moments, the organization’s care and reminders are solid and effective, to prevent issues and protect the enthusiasm of officers in their work,” said Zhou Zhiwei, Deputy Leader of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group at the Audit Office.
At the scene, Wang Deguang, Deputy Leader of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group, listed 12 common mistakes that audit officers are most prone to, from minor lapses to abusing authority for personal gain, and from improper family conduct to moral failings. Using case studies from warning educational videos, he emphasized that personal examples educate peers, urging everyone to stay alert and avoid repeating mistakes. The officers present listened carefully and took notes.
“Changes in positions bring many changes—power, organizational demands, temptations, and personal mindset. The higher the position, the clearer the awareness of integrity risks must be. We must strengthen self-restraint and strive to be politically clear, clean in integrity, and responsible leaders,” Wang Deguang said.
After hearing the integrity reminders from the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group, the newly appointed officers shared their thoughts.
“This integrity education is timely. It guides and helps us new officers stay true to our original aspirations and missions, clarify work directions and discipline requirements, and is very meaningful for tightening the ‘string’ of integrity,” said Wang Yimin, Deputy Commissioner of the Lanzhou Dispatch Office. He pledged to stay alert, uphold firm ideals and beliefs, always align with the Party Central Committee, and act consistently in words and actions internally and externally, lawfully and honestly, continuously enhancing the ability to resist corruption and prevent degeneration.
Wang Minggang, Deputy Director of the General Office of the Audit Office, said, “The warmth in the words and the care behind them reflect the strict yet caring management from the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group. It deeply moved me and warmed my heart. I will continue to strengthen discipline awareness and rules consciousness, practice the people-centered value concept with concrete actions, maintain high political awareness and a full spirit, and strive to be absolutely loyal, competent, and reliable.”
It is understood that such integrity reminders have been held multiple times. The Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group at the Audit Office will further promote and innovate methods based on pilot programs, continuously guiding audit officers to uphold a clean and honest line of defense.
