I often see people say that their husband got laid off and ran out of money, then got blamed and criticized by their wife.

In my opinion, it's not really about unemployment or money. It's about whether this person can accept criticism, insults, and humiliation from others. People with a healthy sense of self cannot tolerate constantly being criticized by someone like that—even if they're deeply in debt, they'll break up with someone who frequently criticizes them.

Many women seem to have an unconscious, innate tendency to psychologically manipulate men—it just depends on whether you'll accept that manipulation. Men who earn well and have good jobs get psychologically manipulated too. The reason two people can stay together long-term is because their dynamic is highly compatible.

High-value people will leave or prepare to leave the moment their partner subjects them to obedience tests, psychological manipulation, or any kind of inherent discomfort.
