On March 13, the 40-day Spring Festival travel rush officially concluded. During this period, the total cross-regional movement of people across society reached 9.4 billion trips, with an average of 235 million trips per day, setting a new record high. In the face of this “big test” of transportation and people’s livelihood security, China Railway Construction Corporation’s operational units focused on highway network operation, urban rail transit operation, energy supply, hotel and cultural tourism sectors. They implemented robust measures to strengthen supply security and used warm-hearted services to safeguard travel routes, successfully completing the full-cycle supply and smooth flow tasks for the Spring Festival travel period.

During the Spring Festival travel rush, the total traffic volume at entrances and exits of “Railway Construction Expressway” sections approached 30 million, with over 20,000 calls answered via the service hotline, and more than 3,300 rescue personnel dispatched, effectively handling various emergencies. Facing the complex situation of the “Four Waves” of Spring Festival travel, operational teams organized over 6,500 staff members to stay at toll stations and service areas, scientifically allocating toll lanes based on traffic tides to ensure quick passage for all types of vehicles.

In response to winter ice and snow weather, operational teams strengthened safety hazard inspections comprehensively, relying on smart operation management cloud platforms and integrated “air-ground-space” patrol systems to quickly address special situations, conducting over 850 clearance and rescue operations. In terms of travel services, various expressways actively carried out public welfare activities such as “Warmth on the Journey,” distributing safety driving materials and promoting safety knowledge to enhance drivers’ safety awareness and create a festive atmosphere. The “Red Flag Youth Commando Team,” formed by China’s most beautiful road sister team “Railway Construction Red Flag Squad,” also actively provided smiling and warm services, offering travelers a smooth, safe, and comfortable travel experience.

In the rail transit sector, cities like Tianjin, Chongqing, Guiyang, and Taiyuan maintained high standards to ensure smooth passage for citizens. During the Spring Festival travel period, these rail projects transported a total of 16.87 million passengers, operated 62,297 train trips, and achieved 100% punctuality and schedule adherence. Teams relied on “Iron Soldier Posts” and “Original Aspiration Posts” led by party members to strengthen crowd management, facilitate travel for special groups, and create themed scenes for the New Year, integrating characteristic service brands to infuse the entire journey with festive spirit and warmth.

During the holiday, over 40 maintenance teams deployed more than 220 staff members daily in shifts, handling more than ten faults or hazards each day, silently completing a warm relay of “arrival.”
