Recently, a unique financial consumer rights protection education and awareness campaign was held at Xingwang Village Elderly Care Center in Yunhe Street, Linping District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang. The event, themed “Clear and Bright Financial Networks · Protecting Peace of Mind in Consumption,” was organized under the guidance of the Linping Supervision Branch of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, jointly hosted by Xingwang Village in Yunhe Street and China Pacific Insurance. The goal was to enhance rural residents’, especially seniors’, awareness and ability to prevent financial risks through engaging and educational activities.

At the scene, a representative from the Linping Supervision Branch of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission stated that insurance institutions should always adhere to a people-centered value orientation, deeply understand and focus on the actual needs of the public in areas like retirement and financial security, develop financial products that better meet people’s livelihoods, provide practical financial protection and convenient services, and effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of financial consumers.

During the event, leaders from Zhejiang Branch of China Pacific Insurance and Hangzhou Central Branch engaged in face-to-face conversations with villagers, explaining common scams and legitimate rights protection channels in simple language. This effectively bridged the gap between financial institutions and grassroots communities and promoted financial consumer protection knowledge.

Additionally, the event innovatively adopted a “Tour and Collect Stamps” format, featuring two main sections: financial consumer protection awareness and health and convenient services, with a total of nine interactive check-in points. In a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, the organizers integrated professional financial knowledge such as anti-fraud tips and policy explanations into fun games, allowing villagers to learn through interactive experiences.

It is reported that in the future, Zhejiang Branch of China Pacific Insurance will continue to deepen the “Insurance + Health Care” service model, leveraging digital and intelligent tools to continuously improve risk identification and prevention capabilities, effectively protect people’s “pocketbooks,” and jointly create a safe, trustworthy, and transparent financial consumption environment.
