According to disclosures from the exchange, Peter Thiel has filed documents to sell 2 million shares of Palantir (PLTR.US) at a price of $140 per share, totaling $280 million.

Public records show that Peter Thiel was born in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1967. He is an American entrepreneur and venture capitalist. In 1996, he founded Thiel Capital Management, later renamed Clarium Capital. In 1998, he co-founded PayPal and sold it in 2002. In 2004, he invested in Facebook and co-founded Palantir. In 2005, he established the Founders Fund venture capital firm. He is the author of “Zero to One.” In 2016 and 2024, he supported Donald Trump’s campaigns. In 2024, he ranked 12th on Forbes’ list of the world’s top venture capitalists and was listed as the 300th wealthiest person in the 2024 Hurun Global Rich List with a net worth of 60.5 billion RMB.
