However, recent days have seen a series of significant fatal accidents in multiple locations. On March 13, an accident occurred at an auto parts company in Zhaoqing, Guangdong, resulting in 3 deaths and 4 injuries; on March 14, a fire broke out in a self-built house in Meizhou, Guangdong, causing 3 deaths and 2 injuries; on the same day, near Yianli Mountain in Jiujiang, Jiangxi, people fell while rock climbing, resulting in 3 deaths; on March 15, a mechanical injury accident at an auto parts company in Yantai, Shandong, caused 3 deaths. On March 15, the Office of the State Council Safety Committee decided to investigate and supervise the four incidents, requiring relevant local authorities to conduct higher-level investigations according to the “Four No Let-Ups” principle, and to pursue accountability strictly and lawfully. An emergency notice regarding recent typical major accidents has been issued, calling for lessons learned, deep reflection, and resolute prevention and containment of serious and major accidents, to effectively prevent the rebound of major and significant accidents, ensuring the continued stability of the national safety situation.
