Company behind Trump's favorite 'too big' shoes sues his administration
Weyco Group Inc., the parent company of Florsheim Shoe Company, has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration following a Supreme Court ruling that deemed Trump’s imposed tariffs unconstitutional. The lawsuit seeks refunds, arguing that Trump exceeded his executive powers by using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act for broad-reaching tariffs. The case is currently paused awaiting guidance on refund procedures, a matter Justice Brett Kavanaugh noted would have significant consequences for the U.S. Treasury.
