China News Service Beijing, March 6 — (Reporter Chen Hang) On March 6, it was learned from Shijingshan District, Beijing, that the city’s first district-level comprehensive game licensing service window has officially begun operation at the Shijingshan District Government Service Center. This allows local game companies to apply nearby, consult nearby, and receive services nearby, bridging the “last mile” of game license application.
According to reports, the Shijingshan District comprehensive game licensing service window will better serve district-based game companies and empower regional innovation in the gaming and e-sports industry. It is a key measure for Shijingshan District to improve the entire gaming and e-sports industry chain and enhance the concentration of industry elements.
At the event, the first applicant was received — a relevant person in charge from Beijing Changyou Tianxia Network Technology Group Co., Ltd. submitted application materials for a new game development at the comprehensive window. Under staff guidance, the processes of submitting materials, system entry, and online acceptance were completed smoothly. Through an online connection with the municipal government service center’s comprehensive window, the application was accepted online, and the applicant received an acceptance receipt on-site.
“The previous process required going to the city hall; now I can walk to the district office to submit and even get the acceptance receipt on the spot. It’s so convenient!” the person in charge said. Shijingshan District is a livable and business-friendly area with rapid development of the gaming industry, accounting for a significant proportion of the city.
The reporter learned that the annual revenue of Shijingshan District’s gaming and e-sports industry has exceeded 20 billion yuan, with 128 upstream and downstream companies in the industry chain, covering game development, publishing, channels, e-sports competitions, live streaming, and other complete segments. The industry density is high, and the ecosystem is complete. The booming gaming and e-sports industry has driven regional cultural and related industry revenues to surpass 190 billion yuan, ranking third in the city and first in growth rate among districts.
Based on the “14th Five-Year Plan,” Shijingshan District will accelerate the development of Beijing’s Future Digital Space Innovation Pilot Zone, the Shougang E-sports Center, plan for a branch of the China Audio-Video and Digital Publishing Association’s Game Museum, and strive to establish a game standardization research institute and a big data information service platform for China’s gaming industry. The goal is to break through 30 billion yuan in industry revenue and to make Shijingshan a influential hub for gaming and e-sports industry innovation. (End)
