Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388) is planning a series of reforms to improve the competitiveness of its listing mechanism. It recommends relaxing the “Weighted Voting Rights” (WVR) listing requirements, including allowing companies with a market value of HKD 40 billion or more at the time of listing to have a higher ratio of different voting rights, up to 1 share with 20 votes.
