Geneva International Invention Exhibition Hong Kong Representatives Win Nearly 300 Awards

The 51st Geneva International Invention Exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland, concluded on Sunday (15th). The participating Hong Kong delegation, comprising members from local universities, R&D centers, tech companies, government departments, and secondary schools, from 44 organizations, won nearly 300 awards, including a record-breaking 12 special grand prizes. The “Tropical Marine Fish Farming Industry Chain Solution” took the overall championship; other awards included 57 Jury Commendation Gold Awards and 98 Gold Awards, setting a new record for Hong Kong.

Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau Secretary Sun Dong congratulated Hong Kong on their outstanding achievements. He stated that the SAR government will continue to invest resources, strengthen talent training, and encourage innovation and R&D. It will also align with the national “14th Five-Year Plan,” proactively connect with national strategies, and strive to make Hong Kong an international innovation and technology hub, contributing to the country’s high-level technological self-reliance and strength.
