Iran’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alireza Enayati, told Reuters on Sunday that given the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran, relations with Gulf Cooperation Council countries need to be “seriously examined” to limit external influences and enable the region to prosper.

He described neighboring countries as indispensable to each other, calling for a serious review of relations and urging the six GCC member states and Iraq to strengthen ties with Iran.

Enayati also denied that Iran was behind the attack on Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that if Iran had been responsible, there would be an official announcement. However, he did not reveal who carried out the attack, only reaffirming that Iran’s targets and interests are the United States and Israel.

Additionally, Enayati pointed out that the war was imposed on the Gulf region. To resolve the conflict, the U.S. and Israel must cease their attacks, regional countries should not get involved, and international guarantees are necessary to prevent future conflicts.
