Coin News reports that according to 1M AI News monitoring, Anthropic's AI coding tool Claude Code has added a cloud-based scheduled task feature. Users can specify code repositories, execution schedules, and prompts, and Claude will automatically execute them according to the schedule through cloud infrastructure without needing to keep local Claude Code running. From the product interface, users can configure scheduled tasks via the Web interface or create them by entering the /schedule command in existing sessions. Example tasks include daily automatic review of all open PRs, tagging PRs without handling for more than two days, weekly automatic patching of dependency updates and submitting PRs on Mondays, and rerunning failed CI tasks every night and creating tickets for repeatedly failing test cases.
