Guoxin Technology Chairman Zheng Gang: Dual-Core Drive in Automotive Electronics and AI Chips, Forging International Competitiveness of Embedded CPUs
With over 20 years of deep cultivation in the autonomous chip field, Guoxin Technology is undergoing a profound “quantum” upgrade to lock in the new landscape of future competition. Chairman Zheng Chang recently told China Securities Journal that in the face of the global wave of quantum computing and artificial intelligence technologies, Guoxin Technology has proactively laid out a dual technical route of quantum security and post-quantum cryptography. This drives its integrated innovation and rapid growth in core sectors such as automotive electronics and AI chips, aiming to become an internationally competitive “independent core” force in China’s embedded CPU field.
Forward-looking Planning for Quantum Security
Zheng Chang believes that the current global quantum technology is at a critical stage of accelerating from “frontier exploration” to “industrial application,” with post-quantum cryptography technology rapidly transitioning from “layout” to “implementation.” Internationally, the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released standards for post-quantum cryptographic algorithms; domestically, China’s 14th Five-Year Plan lists quantum technology as a key development focus. China’s independent standards for post-quantum cryptography algorithms are actively being selected and formulated, with migration needs in critical fields like finance, energy, and government affairs already on the agenda. Leveraging precise industry trend predictions, Guoxin Technology completed a full-chain layout early on, making it one of the few domestic chip design companies to achieve a complete “algorithm IP—chip product—module solution—customer application—ecosystem collaboration” chain.
Regarding the core considerations for this sector, Zheng Chang explained clearly from three dimensions: “First, to address future security threats—quantum computing’s development speed will surpass most expectations. Once quantum computers mature, widely used public key algorithms like RSA and ECC will face systemic risks of being cracked; second, to serve national strategic needs—security of critical information infrastructure is the foundation of national security, and data security in key areas like finance, energy, and government cannot afford any lapses; third, to seize industrialization opportunities—by May 2025, the PCI Security Standards Council will officially incorporate post-quantum algorithms into PCI standards (PCI PTS 7.0), marking that post-quantum cryptography has fully transitioned from academic research to industrial implementation.”
Based on a deep industry trend judgment, Guoxin Technology established the “Quantum+” development strategy, choosing a dual technical route of “quantum security + post-quantum cryptography,” to comprehensively upgrade its trusted innovation, information security chips, automotive electronics chips, and AI chip systems with a “quantumization.” Zheng Chang explained that these two routes complement each other well: the quantum security route fundamentally enhances hardware-level encryption based on physical entropy sources, making “today’s encryption more reliable”; the post-quantum cryptography route is a “chip-level migration for future algorithms,” solving the disruptive threat posed by quantum computers to traditional cryptosystems, making “future systems more secure.”
Automotive Electronics and AI Chips as Dual Growth Engines
While maintaining core technological independence and innovation, Guoxin Technology promotes deep integration of quantum security technology with automotive-grade chips and AI chips through technological fusion and cross-industry innovation, achieving breakthrough growth in automotive electronics and artificial intelligence—becoming the company’s key growth engines.
Zheng Chang told reporters that by 2025, Guoxin Technology’s business fundamentals are stable and improving, with significant structural growth in its independent chips business. Among them, automotive electronics chips are experiencing rapid growth, with annual shipments exceeding 13 million units. The company’s forecast for 2025 revenue from自主汽车电子芯片 (independent automotive electronics chips) is 126.5 million yuan, an increase of 82.32% year-on-year. Its products have entered the supply chains of major domestic automakers such as BYD, Chery, Geely, Changan, FAW, Dongfeng, Xpeng, and Li Auto. By the end of 2025, cumulative shipments of automotive electronics chips will surpass 25 million units.
In the AI chip field, Guoxin Technology adheres to the core technical route of “RISC-V CPU + AI NPU + security,” aiming to “become an important supplier of edge/endpoint AI chips in China.” Zheng Chang introduced that the company has completed a series of NPU IP product layouts, collaborating with institutions like the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) to develop RISC-V AI NPU for edge AI applications, forming CNN20, CNN100, and CNN200 series IP cores. The new DPNPU neural network processor IP, released in January 2026, supports flexible computing power configurations from 0.5 to 4.8 TOPS per core, with linear scalability, and includes over 90 neural network operators covering mainstream architectures like CNN and RNN. The company is also working with its affiliate Longqing Aerospace to develop CNN300 series NPU IP cores for AIPC applications, with single-core performance reaching 8 TOPS, and higher performance achievable through multi-core stacking.
In terms of product deployment, the company’s edge AI chip CCR4001S has achieved large-scale application in intelligent commercial air conditioners, with shipments exceeding 100,000 units. Regarding future AI innovation directions, Zheng Chang clearly stated: “The company will deeply integrate post-quantum cryptography with AI chips to provide customers with higher security levels for intelligent processing, fully meeting the core data security needs during AI large model training and inference.”
Four Core Advantages to Build Barriers
Facing fierce global competition in the integrated circuit industry, Guoxin Technology has formed a unique core competitiveness through over 20 years of technological accumulation, comprehensive product layout, and a complete industrial ecosystem, establishing a protective moat for long-term development.
Zheng Chang summarized the company’s core competitiveness in four dimensions: First, independent controllable embedded CPU technology—possessing over 40 embedded CPU cores across 8 series, covering RISC-V, PowerPC, and M*Core instruction architectures, providing over 120 customers with more than 250 customized services, with chip mass production reaching hundreds of millions; second, a complete product matrix and mature industrialization capability in automotive electronics and information security, with 12 product lines in automotive electronics and being one of the few domestic providers offering full series of security chips and modules from “cloud” to “edge” to “endpoint”; third, forward-looking quantum technology layout—achieving full-chain technical and industrial integration in quantum security and post-quantum cryptography; fourth, deep industry ecosystem cooperation—leading the construction of RISC-V open-source chip industry innovation centers, RISC-V automotive electronics chip alliances, and Jiangsu RISC-V industry alliances, collaborating with international companies like Synopsys and SiFive, as well as domestic institutions like ChipSino and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.
Based on these core advantages, Guoxin Technology has outlined a clear development strategy for the next 3-5 years. Zheng Chang explained that the company will continue to adhere to the development strategy of “standing tall and broad,” using its four major business units as engines, focusing on the three core application fields of trusted innovation and information security, automotive electronics and industrial control, and artificial intelligence and advanced computing. With an independent open-source RISC-V architecture as the technical foundation, it will deeply integrate AI and quantum security frontiers to continuously enhance its core competitiveness and market influence.
Further elaborating on this strategy, Zheng Chang said: “‘Standing tall’ means based on major national needs, aligning with international frontiers, continuously breaking through in core technologies and high-end products, truly solving key technical problems of high-end chips’ independence and controllability; ‘broad’ means rooted in broad market demands, achieving large-scale application of自主芯片 (independent chips) through product series and platform development, and industry ecosystem collaboration, so that domestically controlled chips can serve various industries widely.”
