Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 21: According to Reuters, the U.S. Department of Defense has designated Palantir Technologies’ Maven AI system as a “recorded project.” The Department of Defense is currently rapidly integrating this technology into its operational activities. Deputy Secretary of Defense Steve Fenberg announced this policy decision in a letter to other defense officials. Fenberg stated that the designation of a “recorded project” will help facilitate the integrated application of the Maven system across different military branches. Palantir’s Maven intelligence system is a digital mission control platform that was deployed during the Iran war, assisting in targeting 1,000 objectives early in the conflict.
