As of now, Hesai Laser’s global delivery of lidar units has exceeded 2 million, widely used in advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles, robots, and other fields, serving an expanding commercial platform.
On March 17, Hesai (HSAI.US) announced that the company has joined NVIDIA Halos AI System Detection Laboratory, the first global project certified by the American National Standards Institute’s National Accreditation Board (ANAB). As a member, Hesai will conduct assessments and validations of its lidar platform for functional safety, cybersecurity, and AI compliance within this unified framework.
NVIDIA Halos is a full-stack security system designed for physical AI, aiming to provide a unified safety framework for autonomous vehicles and robots. The system covers chips, software, tools, and services, helping ensure the secure development of autonomous vehicles from cloud to vehicle, focusing on AI-based end-to-end autonomous driving stacks and other physical AI businesses.
Lidar is a core sensing technology in the safety architecture of autonomous driving systems. With high-precision 3D environment perception capabilities, lidar helps autonomous systems identify targets, understand road environments in real-time, and respond promptly to potential risks.
As of now, Hesai Laser’s global delivery has exceeded 2 million units, widely used in ADAS, autonomous vehicles, robots, and other fields, supporting an expanding commercial platform. Leveraging its industry-leading deployment scale, Hesai continues to participate in the development of next-generation autonomous driving safety architectures and provides critical perception technology support for numerous advanced autonomous driving projects worldwide.
