Chairman He Xiaopeng stated that the company will verify its technology and business model, having already completed multiple tests, and will launch three Robotaxi models next year.

Mainland Chinese media report that XPeng Motors (09868) has established a Robotaxi (driverless taxi) business division, responsible for defining Robotaxi products, project integration, R&D testing, and operations. The division operates with a lightweight organizational model, collaborating and reusing resources from various company centers to achieve business goals.

XPeng Motors Chairman He Xiaopeng stated during the Q4 and full-year financial results conference last year that the company plans to launch passenger demonstration operations for Robotaxi in the second half of this year, validating technology, customers, and business models.

Earlier this year, XPeng shared footage from testing teams showing real-world Robotaxi tests at the factory. Vehicles equipped with XPeng’s second-generation VLA have passed third-party site tests and are currently undergoing regular L4 open-road testing.

In November last year, XPeng held its Tech Day in Guangzhou, announcing its entry into the Robotaxi industry. The company plans to launch three Robotaxi models next year and will also initiate Robotaxi trial operations.
