Today (March 22), coinciding with the weekend, the domestic oil market is closed. Only one day remains until the 2026 sixth round of oil price adjustment at 24:00 on March 23. The statistics for this round’s oil price calculation cycle are 90% complete, with only the final statistical day on Monday left. The March oil price “double increase” is almost certain, and the final increase will exceed market expectations.

As of March 22, the latest forecast shows that the prices of gasoline and diesel are expected to increase by 2,130 yuan/ton and 2,055 yuan/ton respectively. The previous day’s forecasted increase has been expanded by nearly 1 cent per liter. After conversion, 92-octane gasoline will rise by 1.71 yuan per liter, 95-octane gasoline by 1.82 yuan per liter, and No. 0 diesel by 1.76 yuan per liter, marking the largest single adjustment increase since 2026.

At 24:00 on March 23, the domestic refined oil prices will undergo the sixth adjustment of the year.

Industry analysts suggest that if international oil prices do not fall significantly next Monday, the large increase in this round of oil prices will be finalized, and the next cycle (March 24 - April 7) may see continued price hikes.

Reminder to drivers: with only one day left until the oil price adjustment, it is recommended to fill up your vehicle before 24:00 on March 23 to reduce fuel costs.
