According to data from the Shaanxi Coal Industry Association, the province's coal production and sales both grew in January-February 2023, reaching 122.441 million tons and 102.0543 million tons respectively. The comprehensive coal selling price at the end of February was 558 yuan/ton, slightly declining month-on-month. Coal prices overall showed a trend of some varieties rising while others fell.

According to statistics from Shaanxi Coal Industry Association, from January to February, the province’s coal production was 122.441 million tons, an increase of 6.2% year-on-year, accounting for 16% of the national raw coal output; coal sales reached 102.054 million tons, a 3.73% increase year-on-year. Coal inventory stood at 2.6715 million tons. At the end of February, the comprehensive average selling price of coal in the province was 558 yuan per ton, down 5 yuan per ton from the previous month, a decrease of 0.89%; compared to the same period last year, it decreased by 53 yuan per ton, a drop of 10.5%. At the end of February, among the 14 representative coal grades in the province, 10 varieties saw a month-on-month price decrease, 4 varieties increased, with an average decrease of 17.5 yuan per ton, a decline of 3.21%; compared to the same period last year, 5 varieties decreased, 9 varieties increased, with an average increase of 19.5 yuan per ton, a rise of 4.06%.
