The Paper news reporter learned from relevant sources that Wang Zhaoxing, a State Council counselor and former member of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, passed away due to illness on March 17, 2026, in Beijing. He was 67 years old.

Public information shows that Wang Zhaoxing, male, was born in February 1959 and was a member of the Communist Party of China. He previously served as a member of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, and he had long been engaged in financial regulation work. In July 2019, he was appointed as a State Council counselor.
