Guizhou Hezhang Traffic Accident Claims 2 Student Deaths, 11 Injured; State Council Listed for Supervision and Coordination
A serious traffic accident occurred this morning around 7 a.m. in Hezhang County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province. Preliminary reports confirm that 2 students have died and 11 students are injured. The State Council Safety Committee has decided to oversee the investigation and has instructed Guizhou Province to escalate the investigation.
The Ministry of Emergency Management, together with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Public Security, has dispatched a working team to the scene to guide the response, demanding all efforts to treat the injured and minimize casualties; to quickly determine the cause of the accident, and to hold those responsible accountable according to law and regulations.
