Shouqi Futures: Improving Demand Expectations May Limit Downside for Caustic Soda Futures

In February, aluminum oxide companies experienced widespread losses, with many producers reducing output and conducting maintenance. Purchasing activity for aluminum oxide was generally moderate, and procurement prices were pushed down. In March, raw material prices for aluminum oxide remained weak, and the industry’s loss situation may improve. Aluminum oxide operating rates are expected to slightly increase in March, and there is an anticipation of new aluminum oxide capacity coming online in the second quarter. After the holiday, the production of viscose short fiber is gradually recovering, and non-aluminum demand may see a slight improvement.
