Abstract generation in progress

Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued a notice to organize the 2026 specialized and innovative “Little Giant” enterprise recognition and review process. Provincial-level small and medium-sized enterprises that are specialized and innovative can apply for the eighth batch of “Little Giant” enterprises. The fifth batch recognized in 2023 and the second batch approved through review can also submit re-evaluation applications. No fees will be charged for any of these applications. To reduce the burden on enterprises, applicants are not required to provide proof or explanations from third-party organizations regarding market share, nor are they required to submit domestic invention patent certificates (for other Category I intellectual property rights such as integrated circuit layout design, proof must still be provided). Enterprises only need to honestly state their market share and fill in the number of invention patents. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will strengthen data sharing with the National Intellectual Property Administration and other departments, with patent data based on information provided by the National Intellectual Property Administration.
