Baidu Advances Integration of Large Language Models with Search and Recommendation Services
On March 18, Baidu appointed He Jingzhou from the original large model algorithm department to rotate to the Mobile Ecosystem Group (MEG) from the Basic Model R&D Department (BMU), serving as the organizational leader of Baidu APP R&D Center, reporting to Luo Rong. The rotation will promote the integration of large models with search and recommendation businesses, strengthening the application of cutting-edge technologies like large models in core scenarios such as search and recommendations. The former leader, Zhao Shiqi, resigned due to personal reasons.
Previously, Baidu MEG underwent organizational restructuring, merging all search businesses on PC and mobile platforms, with Li Xiaowan responsible for user content operation. Simultaneously, Baidu established the APP R&D Center and the Experience and Quality Assurance Center. (First Financial)
