On the 23rd local time, Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis stated that the Greek government will provide subsidies totaling up to 300 million euros to help consumers and farmers cope with rising energy prices due to the Iran situation. Mitsotakis announced four measures on the same day, including providing diesel and gasoline subsidies, subsidizing farmers for purchasing fertilizers, and offering financial aid to ferry operators. These measures will be implemented starting in April for a period of two months. This is the second time the Greek government has taken measures to address rising energy prices since the US and Israel took military action against Iran. On March 11, the Greek government announced a cap on profit margins for fuel and certain supermarket goods. (CCTV News)
