On the evening of March 24 local time, a national memorial ceremony commemorating victims of the 1999 NATO bombing of Yugoslavia was held in the square in front of the National Museum in Vranje, a city in southern Serbia. Serbian President Vučić, Prime Minister Marčutić, Director of the Office for Kosovo Affairs Petković, Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces' General Staff Mojsilović, and thousands of citizens attended the event. As the ceremony began, air raid sirens sounded at the scene, followed by the playing of the Serbian national anthem "God of Justice."
