President Trump of the United States said on Tuesday that Washington is communicating with the “right people,” and Iran “wants to reach an agreement,” but he is not satisfied with the current deal arrangements; Trump also stated that Iran no longer has a leadership, and claimed that the U.S. has achieved great success on Iran issues.

Iran Agrees Never to Possess Nuclear Weapons

Trump said Iran has begun rational communication, and the U.S. is in a very favorable negotiating position. The U.S.-Iran talks may be close to reaching an agreement, with Iran agreeing never to possess nuclear weapons, including not engaging in uranium enrichment activities.

According to U.S. media reports, the U.S. is discussing with multiple mediators the possibility of holding high-level talks with Iran as early as this week. The U.S. has proposed a ceasefire plan with 15 items, and Tehran has made concessions on some key terms. There is currently no concrete evidence that an agreement has been reached; the U.S. is still waiting for Iran’s response.

Trump also said that the U.S. has been very successful in actions against Iran, weakening Iran’s military capabilities, including missile launch capabilities and defense systems. U.S. forces have freedom of movement over Tehran. He stated that the Iranian leadership has been eliminated, and the current situation can be seen as a form of regime change.

The White House stated that the current situation remains highly dynamic, and if diplomatic efforts fail, the U.S. may resume further strikes against Iran.

Meanwhile, Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey are acting as intermediaries, with Pakistan expressing willingness to host talks.

Israel remains cautious about a potential deal, worried that the U.S. might reach an agreement with Iran without fully satisfying its security objectives.
