CITIC Bank Xiamen Branch Welcomes New President Zhang Xuqing, Previously Served at Headquarters with Excellent Performance!
Telecom Operator Finance Network Zhang Yundi / Text
Recently, the qualification approval for Zhang Xuqing, the President of China CITIC Bank Xiamen Branch, attracted the attention of Telecom Operator Finance Network.
Zhang Xuqing has worked at China CITIC Bank for many years. Early in his career, he served as Deputy General Manager of the International Business Department at the head office, responsible for cross-border finance and the “Belt and Road” initiative. In July 2023, his qualification to serve as the President of CITIC Bank’s Hong Kong Branch was approved by regulators, and he officially took up his post in Hong Kong.
It is worth noting that Zhang Xuqing performed well during his tenure in Hong Kong. Data shows that by mid-2024, the assets of CITIC Bank Hong Kong Branch reached HKD 1.443 billion; by mid-2025, this had rapidly increased to HKD 4.386 billion, a year-over-year growth of 203.95%.
In recent personnel adjustments at CITIC Bank, Zhang Xuqing was transferred to Xiamen to serve as the President of Xiamen Branch.
CITIC Bank Xiamen Branch is located in the Pearl River Delta and the West Coast Economic Zone and is one of the key regional hubs for CITIC Bank. However, in recent years, the branch’s asset size has not been particularly prominent within the region, lagging behind the Fuzhou Branch in the West Coast area and the Guangzhou Branch in the Pearl River Delta. As of the first half of 2025, Xiamen Branch had 18 subordinate institutions, 468 employees, and assets totaling RMB 38.955 billion, representing a year-over-year increase of 5.93%.
Recently, Zhang Xuqing appeared publicly as the President of CITIC Bank Xiamen Branch. In an interview, he stated that the branch will closely follow the strategic deployment of the head office, focusing on comprehensive financing, license synergy, and industrial upgrading from multiple dimensions, and will continue to deepen the “Five Major Articles” of finance.
How Zhang Xuqing will lead the Xiamen Branch to further develop remains to be seen. Telecom Operator Finance Network will continue to follow.
