According to earlier reports, four firefighters were seriously injured. Other reports indicated that two people died and 70 were injured. It is known that there were about 100 passengers on the aircraft and five people in the fire truck at the time of the incident.

Shortly after, at LaGuardia International Airport in New York, a Jazz Aviation passenger plane collided with the fire truck responding to the first incident. The current details are unknown.

The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a temporary grounding order for all aircraft at the airport. LaGuardia Airport’s website shows that arriving flights have been gradually diverted to other airports or returned to their origin airports.
