Jing-Jin Zhongguancun Science and Technology City Gains New Momentum: 22 Projects Located in Tianjin Baodi

China News Service Tianjin, March 18 — (Xue Chun Yue, Zhou Ya Qiang) On the afternoon of March 18, the Beijing-Tianjin Zhongguancun Science and Technology City Promotion Conference and Key Project Signing Ceremony was held in Tianjin. A total of 22 high-quality industrial projects were signed on-site, covering new materials, intelligent connected vehicles, low-altitude economy, and other leading industries. The first application scenario demand list for Baodi District, Tianjin, was officially released to activate innovation momentum through scenario openness, promoting the science and technology city from “policy-driven” to “opportunity-driven.”

As the first major asset cooperation project outside Beijing, Beijing-Tianjin Zhongguancun Science and Technology City signed cooperation agreements with multiple companies, relying on Zhongguancun’s high-quality resources to build a more comprehensive science and technology service and financial support system for enterprises settling in the science city.

At the event, many companies showcased specific application scenarios such as industrial chain cooperation, key laboratory needs, and low-altitude economy industrial park operations, linking innovative technologies with market demands, and promoting the transformation and landing of innovative achievements in Baodi, Tianjin, achieving mutual empowerment of “technological innovation + scenario application.”

Ma Jinsong, Secretary of the Baodi District Committee in Tianjin, stated that Beijing-Tianjin Zhongguancun Science and Technology City is the “number one project” for Baodi to promote high-quality development, and is currently embracing multiple historic opportunities, including being incorporated into the Tiankai Higher Education Science and Technology Innovation Park layout and further integrating the Beijing-Tangshan intercity railway into the capital function circle.

During the keynote speech session, experts such as Wang Liwei, Deputy Director of the Development Strategy and Planning Research Office of the National Development and Reform Commission’s Institute of Economic Research, shared insights on topics including the opportunities for Baodi in the construction of a modern capital metropolitan area, frontier trends in new materials industry, and the automotive industry ecosystem in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.

Next, Tianjin Baodi will continue to promote deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, advancing the upgrading and scale expansion of three key industrial chains: high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy and new materials, and new-generation information technology. The city will accelerate the gathering of emerging industries and future industries such as digital economy, low-altitude economy, and intelligent connected vehicles, supporting the high-quality development of Beijing-Tianjin Zhongguancun Science and Technology City and fostering coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei.
