The 163rd China-Laos-Myanmar-Thailand Mekong River Joint Patrol and Law Enforcement Operation Launched

At 9:00 AM on March 23, the 163rd joint patrol and law enforcement operation along the Mekong River between China, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand officially commenced. Law enforcement teams and vessels from China, Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand set sail from Jingha, Wanding, Mengmo, and Bansang Port respectively. After meeting in the designated waters, they will conduct joint patrols and law enforcement activities. A total of over 150 law enforcement personnel and 7 vessels from the four countries participated in this operation. To ensure efficient coordination, a joint patrol and law enforcement command center was established on Chinese vessel 53108, with commanders from China, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand leading a delegation to jointly command the series of joint law enforcement actions.
