China's second domestically-built large cruise ship conducted lifeboat release test today

According to China State Shipbuilding Corporation, the second domestically produced large cruise ship, the “Ida Huacheng,” will conduct a lifeboat detachment test today (17th) in preparation for its official launch on March 20th. The lifeboat detachment test mainly verifies whether the lifeboats can be successfully released from the cruise ship and assesses their performance through a trial cruise. As a vessel that operates at sea year-round, a complete emergency system is essential for large cruise ships. Tests such as lifeboat detachment and cruising are conducted to ensure that crew members can evacuate safely in case of an emergency. (CCTV News)
