Arm Launches Its First Self-Designed Chip for External Sales

On March 24th, local time in the United States, British chip computing platform company Arm (NASDAQ: ARM) held a press conference in San Francisco, announcing the launch of the AGI CPU (General Artificial Intelligence Central Processor). This chip is independently designed by Arm and targets the needs of AI data centers. Arm expects its CPU chip products to generate an incremental revenue of $15 billion annually over the next five years.

OpenAI to Discontinue Sora Standalone App Service

On March 25th, OpenAI’s AI video generation product Sora announced plans to cease its standalone app service to streamline its product lineup. Sora was launched as an independent app in late September 2025, focusing on AI video generation and sharing. After its launch, it briefly topped the Apple App Store charts and quickly surpassed one million downloads, but its ranking has since declined.
