On March 11th at 8:00 AM, the third “Member Channel” collective interview of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference was held in the north hall of the Great Hall of the People. A reporter asked Li Xincao, a member of the CPPCC and president of the China Conservatory of Music, how to showcase the Chinese wisdom and spirit embedded in Chinese music to help the world better understand China. Li Xincao said that as an artist and educator, he has been thinking about how to let the world hear a true and three-dimensional China. In his view, music is one of the best ways. “Music is a universal language that transcends borders; it requires no translation and can directly touch people’s hearts.” Li Xincao mentioned that he has conducted the China National Orchestra multiple times to perform abroad, telling Chinese stories through music.
