Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Accelerate the Promotion of Digital Transformation for More Enterprises in Industrial Parks

People’s Financial News, March 24 — On March 24, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the Ninth Digital China Construction Summit. Wang Yanqing, Director of the Information Technology Development Department at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated that industrial parks are an important platform for China’s industrial development. Moving forward, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will promote digital transformation of parks through four aspects: industrial digital transformation, digital services for parks, digital management of parks, and digital support capabilities.

First, in terms of industrial digital transformation, focus on characteristic and advantageous industries, guide park enterprises to upgrade digitally, and support leading enterprises in opening digital scenarios and technological resources to drive collaboration across the entire industry chain.

Second, regarding digital services for parks, develop digital production services, including collaborative R&D, shared manufacturing, and shared storage. Also develop digital lifestyle services, such as online property management, smart security, and unmanned delivery.

Third, in digital management of parks, digitize assets such as land, buildings, and road facilities, and establish digital profiles for enterprises.

Fourth, in digital support capabilities, strengthen the integrated use of computing, intelligent computing, and supercomputing resources, build efficient and secure data development and utilization platforms, and enhance network and data security risk prevention and control.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will leverage high-standard digital park construction as a key initiative to accelerate the digital transformation of more industrial park enterprises.
