Crypto Finance AG Chief Executive Officer Jan Van Straten predicts that Bitcoin and Ethereum will become standard commodities accessible through any major bank within five years, while DeFi faces a longer 5-10 year regulatory adoption cycle. He points out that Europe's MiCA framework has attracted institutional investor interest by providing regulatory certainty, resulting in significant market advantages. The company is expanding into Latin America, starting first with Brazil, a market with more mature cryptocurrency adoption, and looking toward Argentina. Van Straten predicts that due to geopolitical tensions, the market will experience sideways or declining trends in the first half of 2026, with improvement expected only in the third or fourth quarter after conflicts ease.
