According to Arkham's monitoring, 500 BTC (valued at approximately $35.44 million) from the 6,000 BTC holdings of Irish drug trafficker Clifton Collins—who was previously thought to have permanently lost the assets—moved on March 24 at 20:51 UTC+8 after lying dormant for nearly 10 years and entered Coinbase. Clifton Collins currently holds 5,500 BTC, valued at approximately $389 million. After his arrest in 2017, his house was cleared and his belongings were sent to a landfill. Although an Irish court previously ruled that these funds be forfeited as proceeds of crime, both authorities and Collins himself believed the wealth was irrecoverable due to the lost private keys.
