US Nasdaq closed down 0.8%, software stocks fell sharply

Gelonghui March 25 | The three major U.S. stock indices all closed lower, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.18%, the S&P 500 down 0.37%, and the Nasdaq Composite down 0.84%. Among the 11 sectors of the S&P 500, 4 declined, with communication and real estate leading the declines, while energy and materials sectors posted the largest gains. The market showed signs of rotation into small-cap stocks, with the Russell 2000 up 0.5%. Software stocks fell sharply, with C3.ai dropping over 6%, Adobe down more than 3%, and Microsoft down over 2%.
