Haidi Lao (06862) reported a 14% decrease in profit last year, with the stock price once dropping nearly 10% to a low of HKD 14.42, before narrowing its decline.

As of 9:55 a.m., the stock was at HKD 14.95, down 6.5%, with a turnover of HKD 294 million.

The company announced that for the fiscal year ending December 2022, attributable net profit was RMB 4.05 billion, a 13.98% decrease year-on-year; earnings per share were HKD 0.75, with a final dividend of HKD 0.384.

During the period, revenue was RMB 43.225 billion, up 1.1% year-on-year; restaurant operating income was RMB 39.064 billion, down 4.45%. Core operating profit was RMB 5.403 billion, down 13.27%.

The company pointed out that the profit decline was mainly due to a decrease in table turnover rate and adjustments in innovative modes such as products and scenarios. By 2025, the overall table turnover rate for self-operated Haidi Lao restaurants is expected to be 3.9 times per day, compared to 4.1 times per day in 2024; the total number of customers served in the year was 340 million, a 7.5% decrease year-on-year.
