A senior Iranian official said that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei rejected proposals conveyed through two intermediary countries to Tehran regarding easing tensions or a ceasefire with the United States.

The official revealed that Khamenei, during his first foreign policy meeting, took a very firm and serious stance on “retaliating against the United States and Israel.”

The official did not specify whether the Supreme Leader personally attended the meeting.

According to reports, the official also stated that Khamenei believes that now is not the time for peace until the “United States and Israel are forced to surrender, admit defeat, and make reparations.”
