International Oil Prices Surge Over 4% on the 24th

People’s Financial News, March 25 — International oil prices surged more than 4% on the 24th. By the close of trading, the settlement price for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil futures for May delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose by $4.22 to $92.35 per barrel, an increase of 4.79%. The settlement price for London Brent crude oil futures for May delivery rose by $4.55 to $104.49 per barrel, an increase of 4.55%. However, after reports emerged that the U.S. was considering pushing for a one-month ceasefire, oil prices plummeted, erasing earlier gains.
