As digital transformation of transportation infrastructure continues, smart transportation is gradually moving from isolated applications to systematic development. Against this backdrop, the 28th China Expressway Information Conference and Technology Product Expo will officially open in Fuzhou on March 26. The theme of this year’s conference is “New Stage, New Technology, New Pattern—Digital Transformation, Collaborative Integration, Safe and Intelligent,” focusing on new industry trends and key technological pathways, serving as an important window to observe the development of China’s expressway informatization.

As a domestic participant in the smart transportation field, Beijing Yunxingyu Transportation Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yunxingyu”) will showcase multiple independently developed achievements at this conference (booth: Hall 3, M321, M322), highlighting its technological layout and practical approaches in building a smart transportation system.

From Single Technology to System Capability: The Evolution of Smart Transportation

In recent years, as China’s highway network expands and operational complexity increases, the traditional model centered on building a single system has struggled to meet actual traffic management needs. Industry consensus has gradually formed—that the core of smart transportation is not just “building systems,” but ensuring these systems operate efficiently over the long term.

This shift has led to several clear trends in transportation informatization: first, multi-source data fusion and cross-system collaboration have become fundamental capabilities; second, moving from reactive responses to proactive early warning and control; third, maintenance and operation systems are gradually evolving toward digitalization and platformization. Meanwhile, the standards for evaluating enterprise capabilities are also changing—whether they possess the full chain of “perception—analysis—decision—control—operation” capabilities is increasingly a focus of industry attention.

Multi-Scenario Technology Collaboration to Build Comprehensive Smart Transportation Solutions

Yunxingyu’s exhibition at this conference will not focus on a single product but on multi-dimensional solutions built around different traffic scenarios.

At the perception layer, the company has launched products such as radar-vision fusion devices, laser radars, and edge computing nodes to establish a 24/7, multi-dimensional traffic status perception system focused on highway safety; at the control layer, it integrates a road network command and dispatch platform with proactive control systems to create a closed loop from data perception to decision execution; at the operation and maintenance layer, it employs electromechanical maintenance management systems and structural health monitoring systems to strengthen the long-term operational assurance of transportation infrastructure.

Additionally, the company is exploring areas such as low-altitude inspection and emergency robots, integrating the “air, land, and space” concept into traffic management scenarios, further expanding the application boundaries of smart transportation.

Overall, the products and solutions exhibited are interconnected across different traffic operation stages, reflecting a transition from isolated technologies to integrated system capabilities.

Industry Enters the “Collaboration and Integration” Stage

The theme of “collaboration and integration” in this conference also highlights an important direction in current smart transportation development. As boundaries between data, equipment, and platforms gradually dissolve, transportation systems are shifting from dispersed operation to overall coordination.

Under this trend, companies capable of achieving multi-system collaboration and supporting long-term operation are more likely to secure a stable position within the industry ecosystem. Compared to single devices or systems, enterprises with comprehensive solutions align more closely with technological pathways and industry development directions.

For exhibiting companies, industry expos are not only platforms for showcasing technology but also opportunities to demonstrate their capability systems. Through product combinations and solutions tailored to different scenarios, companies can, to some extent, showcase their technological pathways and capability boundaries to the industry. As the conference approaches, Yunxingyu’s multi-scenario solutions on display will also serve as a window to observe its role and positioning within the smart transportation system.
