Passengers departing from Chengdu can reach the heart of Europe in less than 11 hours. On March 23, simultaneous launch events were held in Beijing and Chengdu to announce that Air China will open direct passenger routes from Beijing Capital on March 24 and from Chengdu Tianfu on March 26 to Brussels. It is understood that this is Chengdu's 12th regular direct passenger route to Europe, with the inaugural flight achieving a 95% load factor.
